Over the years we have run training courses in most cities in England as well as in Glasgow and Edinburgh in Scotland and Belfast in Northern Ireland. Indeed, the only area of the UK where we have not yet run training courses is in Wales (however, we do hope to be offering music business support to unemployed musicians in Wales very soon)!

Up until February 2001 we ran the Music Business Development Programme, a series of music business courses that were run across the North East of England. This was done on behalf of Generator and was funded through a National Lottery grant from the Arts Council for England (A4E scheme) and the European Social Fund.

Since funding came to an end, we have been busy planning TOTAL, a new programme of music business support that will help music entrepreneurs set up music businesses like record labels, promotion companies and management business, and grow. There will also be support for those looking for a job in music and the creative talent itself - musicians, songwriters and other performers.

TOTAL is our exciting new baby which we hope to launch sometime in the not too distant future. As always, funding is an issue but we are working towards initially running TOTAL in parts of the North East and in South East England, so watch this space!

Other parts of the UK where we currently run music business support include: London and the South East where we run our music industry training courses through our subsidiary Global Entertainment Limited; and South West England where we run courses every 6 months or so with Brave Enterprise Agency in Bristol. We are also currently developing plans to run training and support programmes in North Cornwall.

And we are always looking at initiatives to run training in other parts of the UK too so if you feel there is enough demand for a course in your area, please let us know and we will see if it is possible to set one up!

We are still very much developing this section of MBR Online. In the future, we plan to post all courses here so do pop back in again.
