As The Training Company that was formed as a reaction against a lack of any
type of training or education that covered the business side of the music
industry, Global has enjoyed the support and the encouragement of Industry
VIPs like Ed Bicknell (manager of Dire Straits
and Mark Knopfler OBE) and the late Peter
Grant (manager of Led Zeppelin). On all our programmes, places are limited, so the emphasis is very much on an informal, friendly and productive environment. Global prides itself on the fact that one in four participants have gone on to become successful within the industry from Product Managers with the Majors, heading up record labels, working within the industry, to managing major chart acts and artists such as Courtney Pine, Chicane, Disco Citizens, the late Tony Di Vit, Senser, Apache Indian, Danny Rampling, the acclaimed re-mixer Rollo (Faithless), Steps and Victoria Newton lead singer of Top 10 act Strike, among many others.
